Contents of work, Research field:
Research in the fields of urban meteorology and climatology. In particular, numerical study on urban heat island of Japan, United States, and Southeast Asian countries, based on further development of the building-resolving LES and urban climate models. The International
Tenure Truck assistant professor shall be required to research at an institute abroad for two or more years in cooperation with mentors in our center and in the institute abroad, under the employment contract to the University of Tsukuba. Publications of internationally coauthored papers in well-established international journals are included in the review criteria for tenure.
Starting date:
As soon as possible after a hiring decision is made.
Status of employment:
Full-time until March 31, 2023. The International Tenure Track assistant professor may become a tenured assistant professor after passing a review for tenure which will be performed at the last year of the tenure-track period.

Foreign mentor (Institute): Dr. Fei Chen (National Center for Atmospheric Research, USA)

Qualifications:
An applicant needs to have a Doctoral Degree of Ph. D. which has been received within last
10 years, or is expected to obtain the degree by the end of July, 2019.

(Separate lists for refereed and non-refereed papers)
3) Reprints of 5 major papers published within last 5 years. (One paper may be published more than five years ago.)
4) Summary of research activities.
5) Research plan and expected achievements during the tenure-track period.
6) Recommendation or reference letters (one or more).
