Assistant Professor Megumi Kayanuma received the 1st Chika Kuroda Award. The award was established to prize the contributions and achievement in natural science research of Dr. Chika Kuroda, who was the first woman chemist in Japan, and encourage the activities of young women researchers.

Dr. Kayanuma belongs to the faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences in CCS. She was elected for her achievement “Quantum chemical calculations on photoisomerization reaction of metal complexes”.
