Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The Division of Global Environmental Science conducts advanced research in boundary-layer meteorology, with a particular focus on urban meteorology, utilizing computational science methodologies. To further strengthen and expand these research efforts, we are seeking a candidate who is enthusiastic about pursuing urban meteorological research using computational science approaches. We are particularly interested in applicants who are capable of conducting numerical model development. Depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience, the successful applicant will initially assist in education and research supervision within the following academic programs:
•College of Geoscience, School of Life and Environmental Sciences
•Master’s Program in Geosciences, Degree Programs in Life and Earth Sciences
•Doctoral Program in Geosciences, Degree Programs in Life and Earth Sciences.
Over time, the successful candidate is expected to assume full responsibility for education and research supervision across these programs.
