In this workshop, we will discuss on the design, construction, implementation, deployment, operation, etc. on middleware for ILDG community.

Workshop Venue and Accomodation

Workshop Venue

CCS (Center for Computational Sciences), University of Tsukuba is located about 8km north from "Tsukuba Center" bus and train terminal, the central area of Tsukuba Science City. Here is the access information of CCS. Please take a taxi or local bus to reach to CCS from Tsukuba Center.

The University Guest House is located in the university campus, and it takes just a few minutes walk to Center for Computational Sciences. Between the Guest House and Tsukuba Center, a public bus which is available every 15 - 20 minutes is convenient. The bus stop is close to the Guest House, and it will take about 15 minutes to Tsukuba Center.

Transportation to Tsukuba Area

Public transportation from Narita International Airport
From Narita International Airport, a limousine bus named NATT'S is operated and it takes about 110 minutes to "Tsukuba Center" bus terminal.
Public transportation from Akihabara Station
A new rapid train service between Akihabara and Tsukuba named "Tsukuba Express" has started from last August. It will take only 45 minutes by rapid train and this is the most convenient and fast way to reach to Tsukuba from Tokyo Metoropolitan Area. Please take a train for "Tsukuba". (Don't take a train for "Moriya".)
Public transportation from Tokyo Station
There is a high-way bus service available between "Tsukuba Center" bus terminal and Tokyo Station. The bus terminal at Tokyo Station is located at Yaesu side where most of high-way buses depart. From Tokyo Station to "Tsukuba Center" bus terminal, it takes about 65 min.
